There’s nothing quite like a holiday in Noosa but I’ve you’ve only got 48 hours to experience all the amazing things that Noosa has to offer, how do you choose what to do? We’ve put together an itinerary that lets you experience everything Noosa is famous for: incredible beaches, national parks, luxury boutiques, fresh local produce and water activities. Best of all the activities are totally optional … just see how the days unfold and enjoy!

DAY 1

9:00 am – All important java time

The hardest decision you will have to make this morning is which way to turn when you step outside your door, left or right. Either way you will be spoilt for choice with an abundance of laid-back cafes to enjoy a delicious barista-made coffee so relax, enjoy a sumptuous brekkie, and watch the passing people traffic. You are in Noosa on holiday and it doesn’t get much better than this!

11:00 am – The water is beckoning

Meander back to Emerald Resort and grab your gear. It’s time to find out why Noosa beaches are so famous.  You won’t have to walk far as Main Beach is literally a few minutes walk and this iconic beach is renowned for its beauty. If you want to stretch your legs before getting settled on the sand walk around to Little Cove, which is a next to Main Beach. Fringed with trees, and located just before you enter the Noosa National Park, you’ll feel like you are miles from anywhere. Do a final check before you leave the resort – sunglasses, hat, beach towel, water, favourite book. Now go catch some rays and feel that holiday vibe flow over you.

1:00 pm – Spot of lunch

Shake off that sand and head back to the Emerald Resort as it’s time for a spot of lunch.  Take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen in your self-contained holiday apartment or choose from one of the many places to eat along Hastings Street and adjacent to the boardwalk.

2:00 pm – Retail therapy

Hastings Street is brimming with uber-cool shops filled with designer clothing, homewares and unique sustainable hand-made products. You can literally lose yourself for hours wandering from shop to shop. Why not pick up some fab souvenirs to remind yourself of the holiday or gifts for family and friends?

5:00 pm onwards – Sunset with a cocktail

Noosa is famous for its classy restaurants and fine-dining and you’ll find everything from hatted-restaurants through to amazing alfresco dining. Put on your best ‘casual’ outfit and head out to enjoy a delicious cocktail before choosing where to have dinner. For a change of scenery, maybe head down to Gympie Terrace in Noosaville. There are some amazing restaurants that have water views where you can watch the changing colours of the sky at sunset and it’s only a short 5 minute drive from Emerald Resort. Noosa has a happening night scene if you want to kick on after dinner. Don’t stay out too late … it’s an early start tomorrow!

DAY 2

7:00 am – Be one with nature

Now you’ve got your holiday groove happening it’s time to welcome in the day with an energetic walk to Noosa National Park to enjoy the early morning light over the water. The park is teeming with incredible wildlife and this is the best time of day to do some wildlife spotting including koalas, goannas, dolphins and maybe whales.  If it’s a little early to attempt one of the longer walks before coffee we suggest taking the Coastal Walk which is sealed up as far as Dolphin Point and passes Boiling point and Tea Tree Bay. The coastline is magical in this section and the views unsurpassed. Don’t forget to take your camera.

9:00 am – Breakfast on a Gondola

Splurge and enjoy a sumptuous luxury breakfast as you cruise in style aboard a luxury Gondolas of Noosa! The Gondola seats up to six people in comfort and glides almost silently through the Noosa Sound canals and the protected waters of Noosa River. You can choose from either a continental or cooked breakfast and vegetarians are catered for. The Gondola has a built in roof area and lots of comfy pillows. The main pick up point is at the jetty off Boardwalk Pass, off Noosa Parade which is a quick 4 minute walk from Emerald Resort.

10:30 am – Kick back at the Emerald

After a busy morning why not take some time out to enjoy the Emerald Resort. You could relax on your private balcony with a coffee and a good book or you could head down to the pool and spa area.  The area is perfect for catching a little sun or cooling down with a refreshing swim.

12:00 pm – Lunch with an ocean view

Celebrate your last day in Noosa with an elegant lunch at Bistro C Beachside Restaurant and Bar.  It’s perfectly positioned right on Laguna Bay, with only the boardwalk to keep you from squishing your toes into the sand. Enjoy some amazing local produce that showcases the season as you inhale the fresh sea air and take in the beautiful scenery.

2:00 pm – Surfing in Noosa

Surf culture is synonymous with the Sunshine Coast and Noosa is a favourite surf destination, so why not book a surfing lesson? Grab your towel, sunscreen and sense of adventure and head down to the water to meet your surfing instructor.  Don’t forget to book your 2 hour lesson with one of the surf schools. There’s a few to choose from including: Noosa Surf Lessons, Go Ride a Wave, Merricks Learn to Surf.  If surfing’s not your thing then maybe try stand up paddle boarding or kayaking. No matter what you choose, you’ll enjoy being on the water in this magnificent location.

5:00 pm – and relax

Round off your perfect vacation at the popular Miss Moneypenny’s. Start off with an inspired cocktail accompanied by mouth-watering bar bites before setting back at your (pre-booked) table for a tantalising modern Mediterranean feast; in architecturally designed, lux surrounds. It’s the perfect way to celebrate an amazing 48 hours in Noosa.
